Oh hi. Didn’t see you there.

I’m Hilary. I’m an AMFT APCC with a background in film, hospitality, and figuring people out. Aka, I can run a chaotic set, manage a room full of personalities, and still clock what’s actually going on underneath it all.

I’ve worked with kids, families, and adults in all kinds of settings, from dog parks to treatment centers to late-night group conversations that turn into something unexpectedly meaningful. I’m especially drawn to the moments where things feel a little messy, a little uncertain, and very human. That’s usually where the real work is.

I’m happiest when I’m connecting with people, listening, asking better questions, helping someone make sense of something they’ve been carrying alone. I love building spaces where people feel safe enough to be honest, but also challenged enough to grow. It’s a balance, and I’m kind of obsessed with getting it right.

I’m really interested in how behavior tells a story, how what we do is often trying to solve something deeper. My approach blends curiosity, emotional insight, and practicality. Think: part psychoanalytic, part CBT, part “okay but what are we actually going to do about it.”

I get excited about work that feels real, conversations that go somewhere, ideas that actually help people, and anything that bridges the gap between who someone wants to be and how they’re actually living.

I believe the best work of my career is still ahead of me, as long as I keep staying curious, keep showing up honestly, and keep learning from the people in front of me.

When I’m not working, I’m at the dog park (truly my version of meditation), listening to podcasts, going to movies, or texting a friend something that probably could’ve been a journal entry.

Also, I will absolutely overthink a text, but I will never under think a person.
